Character: Aera Mirus Fleuret
Canon: Final Fantasy XV, a few days before she dies.
Age: 28
Background Information: wiki link!
Personality: Polite, ladylike and probably even demure at first glance. In truth Aera is stronger and more resolute than she may look after having to deal with being the Oracle for a long time: there are a lot of expectations placed on her by people and by gods, not to mention political intrigue. Despite the pressure Aera is diligent in her duties and genuinely cares for people and wishes for the best for them.
She does have a more playful and stubborn streak, though, which she only allows herself to display around her ~betrothed~ (they are disgustingly in love).
The harshest influence on Aera's life is the growing quarrel between the said betrothed, Ardyn, and his brother Somnus; what started as a disagreement developed into a succession power struggle throughout which Aera has to keep performing her duties while Ardyn has been declared a traitor and cast out. At the canon point I'm taking her from relations are very strained and the future is uncertain.
Abilities & Inventory: Abilities: communing with The Gods(TM) of her world, creating "sanctuaries" (areas that keep daemons away), some healing magic. Nothing in the inventory; although the wiki mentions a trident, that's most likely something that became the Oracle's staff of office after Aera's death.
Suitability & Plans: There's already a Somnus in Songerein, and I think it would be really interesting to have him interact with Aera, since he's the one who killed her (and her fiance) and all. Though that's the main, or at least starting, focus point, I would also really like to give Aera the opportunity to interact with people without the shackles of Oraclehood! She does have the sociable and playful streak that we only see in interactions with Ardyn, and I would like to explore that in other CR.
I would say that she's fairly independent; although her interaction with Somnus is something I'm really looking forward to, I believe she's more than playable even without castmates around: she needs to make friends, gossip, help people, get cute clothes, poke her nose into things that don't concern her and are dangerous... Lots of stuff to do! :D
